Technical Report Assignment Two

The second Technical Report is to select a single journal article and create a final report that utilizes a statistical technique from the content of this course that addresses an engineering problem.
Content
Your report should contain the following sections. Please organize your report to have the following sections.
Introduction
Introduce the paper you analyzed in this section. The body of the introduction section contain a citation to the paper analyzed that will appear in the References section. A guideline for in-text citations can be found at https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/documents/APA%20Poster%2010.22.12.png.
Engineering Field & Problem Statement
The second section should describe the general engineering field such as Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. After introducing the engineering field describe the problem that the article is trying to solve or improve.
Statistical Technique
The third section shold contain an explanation of the statistical technique utilized in the paper. Topics to inlcude in this section include:
- Name of statistical technique,
- Textbook section that technique is introduced,
- Assumptions (if any) required to implement statistical technique,
- Description of data used within the article.
Note: that the results will be presented in the next section.
Significant Result(s)
Provide a description of the results of applying the statistical technique to the engineering problem.
Conclusion(s)
Provide your conclusion(s) on the use of statistics to solve the engineering problem. Please address the following issues: 1) were the assumptions required to use the statistical techniques satisfied, and 2) what additional information was gained through the use of statistics.
References
The final section of your report is the reference section which contains a bibliographical entry for the paper that was studied. The reference should be given in APA style.
Deliverables
Your report should be at least one page in length using a 12pt font, single spacing and 1" margins. Please submit a pdf version of your report and a pdf copy of the article reviewed.
