Classroom Lesson 9 - Brightspace Groups
The Classroom Lession 9 topics is Brightspace groups. Your Quality Pioneer report is a group activity. The purpose of this lession is to provide you background information on using groups in Brightspace.
Accessing Group Information
To view information about your group, you select Tools in the navigation bar and then click on Groups as shown in the figure below.
My Groups
Each student should appear in only one group. As the instructor, I can view all groups even when I am in the student mode. For the Summer 2025 class, there are seven groups and each group has five members. Notice that there are currently no Assignments, Discussions, or actions pending for each group. However, there is a locker that allows the group to share files (please note that I can see all files stored in the locker). Also, a group email is configured and can be used to send group emails.
Group Members
To view the members in your group click on the number stored in the Members column and the Group Members screen will appear.
Classlist
In addition to the Groups tools, you have access to the Classlist. To view the Classlist, click on Tools in the Navigation Bar and then Classlist on the drop-down menu. All of the members of the class will be displayed as shown in the screen capture below. Notice that you have access to all students' email addresses.
