Buttons: This part is made from WHITE ABS plastic by an injection molding process. The plastic injection machine used can make 8 parts at a time. Half of this part fits inside the Cover; the other half serves as the two buttons used on the mouse.

Quality Issues

The hole diameters are a critical quality characteristic and are measured and compared against specification limits.

Visual inspection is performed for each button assembly. The following issues result in a part being classified as non-conforming: short shot, poor weld line, sink spots, mold flashing, and warpage. The following issues are classified as a non-conformity: bubbles, burn spot, surface imperfections, black streaking, and part sticking in the mold.
