This is the area of the factory where the assembly and packaging of the Optical Computer Mouse finished. All the operators perform the same tasks. The operators retrieve the component trays from the "Conveyor System" and apply the final labels and individual packaging for the mice. From here they are sent to the Shipping department. The assembly process used by the operators is as follows:

Final Assembly & Packaging Instructions

1. Grab Mouse from tray.

 

2. Apply 4 Glides at each of their respective locations.

3. Apply Hologram sticker.
4. Apply Barcode Label.
5. Apply Brand Name through Silk Screen Process to COVER.  
6. Connect mouse to computer and perform final functionality inspection.

If it passes the inspection proceed to step 7

If it fails the inspection proceed to step 10.
 
7. Grab plastic bag, and insert mouse into plastic bag.  
8. Insert Plastic bag into Cardboard Box and close the box.  

9. Place boxed mouse into shipping box.

End.

 

10. Place the defective mouse in the Rejects bin.

End.

 
When shipping box is full a signal must be given so that it can be taken to the shipping area via forklift and so a new box is brought in to replace the full box.

Final Functionality Inspection:

This test checks several of the critical points on the PCB, namely the functionality of all the Push Buttons on the PCB and the electrical functionality of the PCB.

If the mouse fails one test, all the remaining test are still performed to determine how many test each mouse failed.
If the mouse fails at least one test it is rejected.
Currently the functionality inspection test is being performed on : 100% of the products.
